Frigidaire Appliance

Frigidaire is an American brand of consumer and commercial appliances. Frigidaire was founded as the Guardian Frigerator Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and developed the first self-contained refrigerator (invented by Nathaniel B. Wales and Alfred Mellowes) in 1916. In 1918, William C. Durant, a founder of General Motors, personally invested in the company and in 1919, it adopted the name Frigidaire. The brand was so well known in the refrigeration field in the early 20th century that many Americans called any refrigerator, whatever its brand, a “Frigidaire”. The name Frigidaire or the earlier version, Frigerator, may be the actual origin of the slang term “fridge”.

From 1919 to 1979, the company was owned by General Motors. During that period, it was first a subsidiary of Delco-Light and was later an independent division, based in Dayton, Ohio. Frigidaire was sold to the White Sewing Machine Company 1979, which was in turn purchased by Electrolux, its current parent, in 1986.

Appliance Medic have long been stocking their kitchens with Frigidaire appliances. The appliances which are manufactured by Frigidaire have a good reputation for being both affordable and hard working. Each model is very well made and should supply its owner with years and years of hard work. Anyone who wants to get the maximum bang for their buck will be very happy with Frigidaire products. In addition to making a top quality product at a reasonable rate, the company has also worked hard to create a customer service department that is easy to work with and who will answer any questions you might have.

When you purchase a Frigidaire product you have every expectation that it will be several years before you have to think about making a repair. What many people don’t realize is just how fast that time will past. Sooner or later your Frigidaire products will stop working at their peak efficiency. Testimonials

On a very hot day our freezer stopped working. Solomon immediately came and evaluated the situation. Although he could not do the repair since he needed a part, his prompt response alerted us to the fact we needed to make other arrangements for the food which was at risk of becoming spoiled. When the part came in his technician quickly and neatly made the repair. we highly recommend this company.

Jorge is great!!

We had a loud noise in our freezer 'fixed' by another company and it re-appeared 8 months later. Within 4 hours of calling, Jorge was here, and in 5 minutes figured out & fixed the problem and provided our long term solution! I highly recommend Appliance Medic and Jorge!!

Good service

Good service at a reasonable price. The technician (Jorge R) brought my Viking fridge back to life while keeping the cost down as much as he could. 50721
